We had a great 2nd week of school! One of the students said today, "What?! It's already Friday tomorrow?! That went fast. We've learned a lot this week." We sure have! Students having been practicing growth mindset and showing perseverance. Everyone is starting to get into the routine of how our days will be structured and things are starting to run smoothly. We remain flexible and adjust as needed :)
This week the band and orchestra teachers met with students that attended the parent information meetings. Students were able to pick out which instruments they plan to play. We have quite a few musicians on our hands. I can't wait to hear them play!
Ms. Seppala and Ms. Hankins visited our classroom this week to talk about PROS. If your student is interested in becoming a PRO, assisting school staff with tasks and events, please make sure that they get their letter of interest in by Monday.
District Staff also visited 5th grade this week to talk about a great opportunity for one lucky 5th grader to have the opportunity to participate in a year of collaboration and service helping to raise money for school supplies for a school in Mexico. The student that is chosen will have the opportunity to travel to Arizona with five other 5th graders from the district to deliver the supplies to student representatives from the school in Mexico. This is a wonderful opportunity. If your child is interested, please get forms in by Friday, September 21st.
Have a great weekend!
